MARINUS TURBINE OIL is a premium synthetic lubricant designed for the lubrication of hydro-electric turbine generator bearings.  It provides excellent wear protection, exhibits good corrosion and rust inhibiting properties and good demulsibility.  MARINUS TURBINE OIL uses special low-toxicity additives and a readily biodegradable synthetic base fluid to provide un-surpassed environmental protection in the event of accidental release.

MARINUS TURBINE OIL is synthetic ester based and has excellent oxidation stability comparable to premium mineral oils.  MARINUS TURBINE OIL has a high viscosity index to ensure a wide operating temperature range and adequate fluid film strength to protect bearings at start-up and under full load conditions.

Biodegradability

MARINUS TURBINE OIL is readily biodegradable.  Following the CEC L33-A94 Biodegradability test, MARINUS TURBINE OIL proves greater than 98% biodegradable in 21 days.  It is ideal for applications in environmentally sensitive areas.

Compatibility

MARINUS TURBINE OIL has been tested for compatibility with a typical conventional mineral turbine oil using the US FTM 3403 and was found to be compatible. MARINUS TURBINE OIL should not be mixed with canola or other vegetable oil based fluids.

Aquatic Toxicity

MARINUS TURBINE OIL easily passes the 96 hour Trout Toxicity Test (EPS1/RM/13 Environment Canada Procedure).  In a 1:10 dilution of the oil in water there was a 100% survival rate.

Health and Safety
